• Honestly, when i was choosing my class in the beginning of May or June, CT101 was not even in my head. I didn’t even know what CT is. I heard about this class from a random person who took Professor Seslows’ class previous semester.  Since all my classes got dropped, i needed one more class to fulfill my requirement and all the classes were full. I went to almost every professor pleading for them to take me in their class but their couldn’t do an overtally. Luckily at the time this kind girl told me about Professor. Seslow. I immediate went to his class, literally before his was about to finish. I told him my situation and he took me in. Honestly, that was the best words that i needed to hear, if i didn’t i would of probably have minor break down.
  • You can tell my little anecdote that the starting of this class we really good. This class was honestly very therapeutic, exciting, fun, innovating and more especially because of Professor Seslow. I haven’t gotten a profesor like him in any class. I am so thankful to professor Seslow for every thing. I have learned.
  • First week, we talked about what makes us happy and we have to post it. I said that 5 minutes crafts makes me happy.
  • On the second week, we talked about gifs. One of my favorite thing we have learned. I find gifs very funny and i was very excited to learn about gifs. My first gif I did was on weekend moods with Oprah’s gifs.
  • Then, third week we learned about memes, my second favorite. Meme is one of the popular thing on the internet. Some of the memes are hilarious and relatable. My meme was about, when you open a pack of gum in school. But for some reason I it isn’t that funny or what i have expected.
  • Fourth week, Panorama week.  We had to work in groups and let our inner creativity out. I grouped up with 4 of my classmate and we decided to make a human pyramid. The picture definitely didn’t tuned our what we expected. Not only we did human pyramid, we also made friendly/mean/bullying situation, i honestly don’t know what was the second one about.
  • Fifth and Sixth week,  we did gif portrait project, where we took still image and turned into a gif.
  • Seventh week, We enhanced our gif portrait  and this time I chose Selena Gomez.
  • Then, we worked on Vaporwave Then we made our own website, which is cool.
  • Honestly, I really enjoyed this class, i came to class every day and i believe i did every work that i was suppose to do. A grade that I deserve for this class in at least an A or A-. I believe i did tried my best and i have completed every work. I definitely will continue my website and try my best to make it better. I will maintain my website by posting different things and related stuffs that people can make personal connection to. Overall, I am proud of my work, even though some might look different but its UNIQUE!! It’s my piece of art and i am very proud.  THANK YOU PROFESSOR SESLOW for helping me find the unique side of me and helping me to create different things each THURSDAY. I honestly will MISS this class very much. YOU are one of the best professor!!!.

Final exams aren’t just any tests. They draw upon your knowledge from the entire semester, and you have to take a whole bunch of them at once. Depending on how your finals are weighted, your final exam grade could even mean the difference between an A and a C on your transcript

Finals is the other face of the DEVIL! Finals college students NIGHTMARE in the form of PAPER! I have never hated a paper ever in my life until i have entered in a place called college. Finals are stressful for students and its one of the horrible way to test students knowledge. But its the reality, we all have to go through. Not matter how much i study for the final, when you step into the classroom (hell), everything stays out of the classroom. Since its something that we are going to face for 4 year straight we must find a technique to make our life less miserable.

1. Make a finals game plan.

If you plan out your study sessions (for ALL your exams), you’ll get a better handle on how much work you’re facing. Use the calendar on your phone to set alerts and reminders for yourself so you stick to your plan.

2. Start early.

Start studying for finals a few weeks before the first exam, and figure out how much time to set aside each day for each subject. Be realistic about how long it will take to, say, memorize the dates for all the Civil War battles. You need to fit in brain breaks, too!

3. Study in this order: a) definitely b) probably c) might be on the final

Don’t just start from the beginning of your notes and try to cram everything in: Think about what you know for sure will be on each test and review that material first. Then move on to studying what will probably be on the test, then what might be covered. That way, if you run out of time, you know you at least have the basics nailed. Ask your teachers if they’ll share copies of previous finals so you can see what might be covered or how questions will be phrased.

4. Give yourself more time to study for your toughest classes.

If Chemistry gave you trouble all semester, devote more time to that subject—even if it’s your last final. Look over your previous tests for the year, if you scored poorly on one unit in Spanish chances are you didn’t absorb it all the first time. Take extra time now to review what you missed. By starting with the toughest stuff first, you have time to ask your teacher questions or get help from our tutors

Black Plague in Yemen

The black plague is back, this time in the form of mankind. Do you know what it feels like for a living person’s body to slowly decompose? Just imagine having no food, no water for days, weeks, months. Just imagine being a mother, seeing your child dying in front of you because you can’t give them the basic needs. This probably sounds like something that happened in the past, like the black plague where the population was getting swept. Well, this is happening now in a Middle east country Yemen. This time the black plague has new name which is called mankind. Yemen is considered as the poorest Arab country. Every news about Yemen is worse than the other. Yemen is going through unstable transition of government, which created civil war. This war is sweeping its population. Not only people are dying from bombs, bullets, half of them are dying from starvation, family, and disease like Cholera. Yemen is in great need of a humanitarian in the world. If this humanitarian crisis isn’t stopped soon, then it will harm other countries as well. A humanitarian crisis “refers to situations where the lives, health, safety or well-being of a large number of people are at substantial risk.” (Georg von Kalckreuth and Daniel Warner). Other nations should help Yemen from this humanitarian crisis because of humanitarian reasons and economic reasons. If the international countries help countries in humanitarian crisis then they can maintain a relationship of dependency with the recipient, or simply to influence the government and direction of the country.

These problems are largely preventable with international countries and UNICEF’s help. The solution for this war is getting full fund from United Nations international children emergency fund (UNICEF) and aids from international countries. The reason international countries should help is that to fulfill one of their goal like security and part of this goal is not to have a failed state.

The humanitarian crisis is the result of the civil war in Yemen. Yemen has been wracked by a bloody war between the Houthis and supporters of Yemen’s government. The tension between these two groups has affected the civilians tremendously. This war has taken half of the population and other half has died due to famine, starvation, hunger and diseases. The humanitarian crisis is extremely bad in Yemen. The solution to this war, receiving fully funding UNICEF and other international agencies to offer aid. UNICEF is authorized by the United Nations General Assembly “to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.” (Shawn Grimsley) UNICEF fights the inordinate number of young children. A large proportion of these deaths occur due to preventable diseases and illnesses, malnutrition, poor sanitation and a severe lack of medical facilities. In their efforts to lower the deaths, UNICEF has established “successful, uncomplicated and cost effective involvements within problem areas of the world.”Some of these contributions include vaccinations, antibiotics, nutritional supplements, “insecticide-treated bed nets and the implementation of safer and more hygienic practices.”. Apart from UNICEF’s help, other countries like the USA should help Yemen from this humanitarian crisis as well. There are many reasons why the US should help Yemen. One of the reasons is that US is one of the developed countries in the world, and it should fund developing countries. The US obligation to help other countries is to fulfill its state goal, security which means not to have any failed state. If Yemen is falling apart than the international country is not fulfilling its goals. Another reason is of humanitarian reason, humanitarian aid is provided based on need, with the goal of saving human lives, relieving human suffering and maintaining human dignity during and after a crisis. This is happening in Yemen, similarly happened internationally. For example, Arab Spring in 2011, uprising among farmers because they could sell their products recession. The Arab Spring is similar to the Occupy movement that happened globally, where people fought for income equality. Last and important reason is US is also involved in this war. The US stood by and the war “continue.” Somehow, the US is responsible for the situation that is happening in Yemen, it’s bad for US reputation. It’s their responsibility to solve the problem.

Each humanitarian crisis is caused by different factors and appropriately, each different humanitarian crisis requires a “unique” response aimed towards the specific sectors affected. Examples of humanitarian crises include “armed conflicts, epidemics, famine, natural disasters, education, food and other major emergencies.”The solution is attainable because there are real measurements where it showed that there has been some improvements like diseases has been cured, hunger has lessened, education was given and children’s condition under UNICEF has improved and more. These improvements are examples that shows that if countries provide aids and UNICEF fund fully, the solutions are achievable.

Humanitarian crisis in Yemen is not going to be solved within a day. Solving the problem will take time, dedication and collaboration.” The solution is attainable because there are real measurements where it showed that there has been some improvements like diseases has been cured, hunger has lessened, education was given and children’s condition under UNICEF has improved and more. To end all this violence, they should open roads for aids delivery, support for Yemen’s economy, more international funds for humanitarian relief. There is an opportunity that must be seized and that the humanitarian situation is so atrocious that is that doesn’t happen then this problem is going to become so unprecedented and can’t be helped. Even though the black plague was cured, but mankind creations are far more dangerous than any type of diseases.

Thanksgiving turkey Cute cartoon

Thanksgiving is one of the most beautiful and cherished day. Thanksgiving is one of America’s most treasured holidays and traditions. While there are some constants in the way we observe the day, it can mean different things to different people. The American Thanksgiving holiday began as a feast in the early days of the American colonies almost 400 years ago. In 1620, a boat filled with more than 100 people sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from England to settle in the New World. This religious group had begun to question the beliefs of the Church of England and they wanted to separate from it.

Even though we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving formally but we like to be thankful of each other and be happy. My family and i dont like turkey so we had chicken instead. Lets face the fact, chickens are way better than turkeys, dont get me wrong, if you like turkey good for you. My thanksgiving went the same had a lot of work and ate a lots of food. I don’t think we should be thankful of our loved ones only for a day, we should be thankful everyday for what we have and appreciate the people in your lives. Every moment with your loved ones should be cherished and magical. Yes sometimes hardship comes but at last families are the one stand beside with with every shields possible.

There are some people who dont even have food to eat. Those people have the right to cherish their moments and be loved but they dont have the priviledge. We should the ones in need and maybe serve some food that they eat, so they dont get left behind from the happiness than thats a good thanksgiving.

“UNIQUE” Vaporwave

So before Thanksgiving break we worked on vapor-wave. It was really fun creating Vapor-wave because its different. I was having difficulty at first picking images and how it actually. Seeing professor. Seslow demonstrating to us, then tit became more easier. How the Vapor- Wave actually works? So first, you have choose your images which have to be transparent.  For example, Grid, Sunset, Logo or statue.

Many of you may ask what is Vapor-wave?
  • First thing that comes to mind is probably it has to do something with science. the def for vapor-wave is a “musical genre and art movement that emerged in the early 2010s from indie dance genres such as seapunk, bounce house, witch house, or chillwave.”

This is what my vapor wave looks like. I chose a sun, a grid for perspective, a palm tree, beach chairs, ocean, sky (gloomy), and interestingly a UFO. I have no idea what is the UFO doing there and whats it doing to the bird. It might seem very mean that i put the bird there for the UFO to take it but hey you cant judge an artist. My vapor wave comes with deep meanings and I am proud of this, it’s UNIQUE.

Trick or Treat!!!

Since on OCT 31 was Halloween my sisters, cousins and I went trick or treating. I know I am a bit old for trick or treating but who cares. No body is too old for CANDIES AND CHOCOLATES. Before going out to trick or treating, we gave out candies to kids. It was a treat to watch kids dressed up.  At the end we ran out of candies, so we had to give them left over fruits. You should of seen their face, giving them those fruits weren’t treat alright, it was more of a trick for them. Then we went trick or treating ourselves. It was so much fun. Most weird and coincident thing is that on every Halloween, my youngest sister (6 years old), she always i mean ALWAYS fall on her knees (face-ward) on the concrete ground. That always happen literally before 2 mins of me warning her. So we def had fun, but my little sister didn’t. The bruises were in the same place. I guess next time i have to put a knee pad on her or dress her up as a baseball player.

So I was just having fun with the portraits. In this portrait, I took pieces from different portraits and made an unique piece. I don’t have name for it yet, UNLESS you guys do? If you guys have a name for this piece just put it on the comment, it would be nice.  And you guys guess which two actresses are they? HINT- THEY ARE BOTH QUEEN OF TWO DIFFERENT PLATFORMs!!!

Midterms Stress!!

It’s that time of the year. It has once again approached us. Who else is stressing over midterms. Since midterm weeks are ahead, I am so stressed out. I have Business Law midterm next Tuesday and my first case study due this Friday. One of my friend got so scared that did a fake sick call, now i don’t know what to do. This case study is so confusing and my professor sounds drunk during the lecture. I am in great need of HELP! SO GUYS PREY FOR ME!!!

Go Selena!

Today we did our second portrait animation. Now that I got the hang of it, it’s really fun to play with different filters and edits. I tried something new and tried to be innovative. I actually like the result. In this portrait you can see that i have tried to play around with different filters and animations. We took a still image and made it into an animation one.

Nelson Mandela the Hero!

Today we learned how to GIF the portraits of people or a person who inspire us. It was really cool and exciting to learned how to make your own gifs from the portrait you have chosen.  For my portrait, I chose Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was was a nonviolence anti-apartheid activist, politician and philanthropist who became South Africa’s first black president. Nelson Mandela have fought for his people and died for his people. I think he inspires/inspired everyone to speak for what’s right and stand by your opinion.
